Welcome to the City of San Marcos Youth Drama Program. Here you will find information about our Drama Program, ranging from upcoming Performances to On-Stage Workshops.
The main goal of Theatre West is to provide youth and young adults the opportunity of onstage experience in the performing arts. However, we recognize that as a "learning" theatre program, there are additional benefits for our participants beyond aquiring the fundamentals of the stage: growth in confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline, creation of a whole-family experience for the cast, and encouragement of creativity and artistic development. Theatre West currently produces five shows per year with up to 200 actors being involved. Parents and other family members become actively involved, working backstage, selling tickets, serving snacks, etc.
