Fire Station Four was completed in 2008. The station is 12,000 square feet in size. It was designed to ultimately house two engine companies and one paramedic ambulance. The station is designed with amenities such as additional office space, a shop area for working on fire equipment, a conference room, storage for medical supplies and laundry facilities. The station is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building. The station is equipped with a photovoltaic solar system capable of generating 95% of the station’s electrical needs. Fire Station Four primarily provides service to the southwestern portion of the City and supports emergency operations anywhere in the City as needed.
